  • Identify, respect, and appreciate others’ preferred behavioral tendencies
  • Understand your own preferred behavioral tendencies and how they might affect others
  • Adapt your natural tendencies to work better with others, increasing productivity and effectiveness
  • Identify how an understanding of DiSC might impact how you communicate differently with each employee when coaching and giving feedback

  • Identify when we were first introduced to conflict, what lessons we learned, and situations when conflict is necessary
  • Differentiate between conflict / misunderstandings and conflict / disagreements and how to handle each appropriately
  • Learn the 5 conflict resolutions strategies from the Thomas-Killman instrument and discover which is your dominant/preferred style and how they relate to assertiveness and cooperation
  • Identify the benefits and the downsides to each of the 5 conflict resolution strategies and when each is the most appropriate strategy to use at work
  • Resolve conflict by identifying the positions and interests of the various parties (whether resolving your own conflict or serving as a mediator)
  • Identify when it is appropriate to ask for third-party mediation and what you can expect from a mediator in a conflict situation
